Elvis Is Back in the Building

Unbelievable that has been 34 years since Elvis Presley died - and remains as popular as ever, even more, in fact, and although much of the industry is tacky Elvis no doubt of the importance of Elvis as an artist and truly innovative in that.

As a child I used to think Elvis was the epitome of cool and might even see those movies have always been playing on TV during the school holidays, but as I grew up and found other forms of music that left the music Elvis Presley, given that hackneyed, mediocre - and a lot of it was. Wearing costumes on stage made him look like a peacock strutting and every time he appeared on the news that seemed to have gained a new chin. The world had changed and Elvis, had apparently been unable to move with it and now in middle age was still singing those songs that had struck a child fresh from a little crude, but it seemed a travesty that comes from the center between fat man.

I remember the first turntable I've owned - it was a Dansette that was shaped like a suitcase, including carrying handle on the side. I have this for Christmas when I was ten and I had two LPs with it - Elvis Christmas album and a tribute to the Beatles. I do not like the Beatles a while, and it was not real, but a tribute band Beatles, and besides all that he knew the Beatles when I was ten years was that it was a group of my dad mentioned from time to time. However, Elvis was played to death.

Then, in 1977 Elvis Presley died, but I was twelve years old at the time, discovering punk music and Elvis had ceased to matter to me. Why should I, a child's nose posh black Welsh valleys, a shit half the icon of the road in America?

It was not until years later that I began to rediscover Elvis and although there is still a large proportion of garbage from his canon, there is much that is as important as any music ever recorded by anyone. Almost all of their tracks Sun are indispensable, like their first two albums RCA. Elvis is Back, their first album after leaving the army, is also excellent and showed a maturity in the choice of songs and your performance. Everything went wrong shortly after Elvis became a star in a series of bad movies with soundtracks inane. The Elvis who returned from military service was not the cat's hip, for the first time in uniform. In fact the few Elvis movies that can be considered classic wine from the early days of fame before being drafted into the army. The military did something like Elvis - tamed him, perhaps.

There was however later triumphs - the excellent 68 Comeback Special and a series of albums as Elvis in Memphis, Elvis Country, back in Memphis and that's the way it is to the mind.

No wonder really Elvis in his other life has become even more of a product than it was when alive. Was used as a product over the years of films and beyond the grueling Vegas shows. And that's a shame, because often obscures the fact that Elvis was a truly great artist, so important in the development of popular music as any. In life became wrapped up in his own myth and loses himself below all of the spectacle and the death of the real Elvis is buried even deeper. It is not flashy costumes and saccharine ballads, but those early years, when the world was black and white when young revolutionized music and changed the world. He really did, you know.

Today I know I was wrong to discount Elvis fan and I am a born again and in honor of the King, on this anniversary of his death, here is my selection of five essential Elvis albums.

Prelsey Elvis (1956) This is the first album for RCA. As famous for its pink lettering and green and cover design, as the music itself. This is punk rockabilly Elvis not a bad track among the set. Listen Elv Cares assume that Ray has a wife and prepare to be shaken.

Elvie (1956) The second RCA album was brighter than the previous volume and much of the harshness removed. But Old Shep cloying aside this is still a great record.

Elvis Dawn (1975) This compilation contains all the tracks of the young Elvis set for Sam Phillips and Sun Records. And it is absolutely excellent - this is Elvis at his best. Raw, blues and gorgeous.

Elvis is Back (1960) Elvis took to record this album immediately after leaving the Army, acting as producer and have a free hand in choosing the tracks. The work shows a side full of Elvis with the singer flirting with jazz and blues and rockabilly most common. After this masterpiece was the soundtrack for GI Blues and the real Elvis seemed lost forever.

Sales KPI Template: Measuring Sales Performance

Humans are lazy creatures. We tend to try to do things with as little effort as possible and hope to gain the most from these efforts. Once we organized ourselves into groups or organizations with a common goal, then the expectation of our motivation tends to take a different shape. This new expectation is that the more motivated we are to achieve the "mission" together, then through peer pressure and not wanting to leave the down side, we conduct a higher level. Obviously, there are those who fail to see it that way and need more handling, but generally, organizations operate on that basis. Therefore, once we have all more or less motivated to contribute, then you need to identify some way in every part of the company and in every function, a system for measuring how well we are doing against each other. A common system operated by both large and medium companies is based on the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) through a KPI template.

Indicator - the ability or competence being measured

In the sales environment, a number of key competencies that can be used to measure the performance of sales. These are usually prioritized by business or sales manager depending on whether the role is external or internal sales. The quantification of the results is then necessary for individual sales people can understand what the performance is within each objective, including competition from closing the sale - Percentage of sales negotiations that resulted in a sale.

The KPIs are then listed in the precedence to the definition of a successful performance against them. This is a KPI template in its most simple. There are several different applications to use:

Return on sales can be measured continuously, allowing the administrator to control the actual performance against the target in each event within the sales function. This can help identify areas of training and development.

The interview process for hiring sales staff can use the KPI template as a basis for questions of jurisdiction based on the interview. This discussion focuses only on core competencies and knowledge to do the job.

KPIs are very useful in the business planning process and to identify where are the key points that must operate a successful business. This in turn shows that major resources should be allocated.

A level sales person, the application of KPIs enables a means of self-monitoring individual performance. The team know what is being measured against, so information does not produce any surprises.

The allocation of the premium sales can be delivered not only on the basis of achieving quotas, but also to measure behavioral competencies.
